  • Fruit or juice. If it's a texture thing, make something that approximates what you're craving. A banana drizzled with some honey and cinnamon in a coffee mug, microwave about 20-30 seconds, squish up the banana and mix well. It ends up feeling like you're eating some kind of custard or pudding. Freeze fruit juice in ice cube trays - healthy popcicle. Blend them up with some yogurt and fresh fruit - smoothie/milkshake. And if you're wishing you had cookies, make something like this instead:
    50 calorie peanut butter cookies

  • I go through this too. I just switch out Splenda for the sugar until I get through the episode. I have also been known to eat fruit instead of sweets or even a can of sweet peas!

  • I'm the biggest sweet addicted person I know so I feel your pain. Sometimes a bowl of cereal will help me through that time. There is also those 100 calorie snack packs, pudding or maybe even some low fat yogurt. Try brushing your teeth when you have a craving, that will help for awhile. Good luck!

  • Fresh fruit usually works for me. Sometimes sugar snap peas, carrot sticks or jicama sticks. Keeping busy is also a big help. If you get bored, sweets just seem to call louder. :-\

  • You can also do a banana with a little bit of dark chocolate in the microwave...tastes really decadent but isn't
