  • Depends on time of day, who is here and why it went out. If it is during a storm I will go sit on my front porch and watch it. If it is during the day I will go run errands. If it is at night and I am by myself I will read by candle light or sleep. If my son is here I get batteries for his DVD player and we will watch a movie or read or play board games by candle light.

  • Read if the kids are sleeping or away from home. Board games or cards if I am not by myself. Or I will play with my computer/phone until they run out of juice.

  • Depends on who's home and the time of day. If it went out right now, with just my daughter and I, I would light a fire in the wood stove, play a few games by candle light, then probably go out to get some dinner, head home to read some books and go to bed early. If it was earlier in the day, we'd probably go to the mall to roam around/ play at the play area for awhile.
