what do you bring to someones house for tgiving dinner

we were invited to my dh's uncles for thanksgiving and told we didn't need to bring anything.... What should we bring? We/they don't drink wine.

  • something that they can either put out with the meal, or save for snacking on later, like crackers and cheese and meat or something. small fruit basket would be nice too, for them to enjoy in the following days.

  • I always take something even if they say I don't need to. You can either take a dessert, or appetizer as others have suggested, or a hostess gift like some holiday dish towels, or flowers or something. I usually take food. I like taking spinach artichoke dip in a bread bowl, or a pie or cookies for the dessert table.
