  • DH had to fly this morning. Said he witnessed an 'enhanced pat down'. Said that the woman would either need therapy or a cigarette. I wonder how many sexual predators / offenders work for TSA.

If there weren't many before, I bet they are applying in droves now.

  • One of the links in the OP's link had a story about a guy actually being arrested in San Diego...granted he did strip to his skivies...but they didn't arrest him for that! They arrested him for "failing to complete the security process" and for recording the incident on a cell phone.

This has simply gone way to far.

I am planning to take my kids to Texas over spring break instead of the summer...we won't be flying though...I'll just let them miss enough school for us to make it a driving trip.

  • We drive everywhere, YSK. When we go househunting in TX next year, we will rent a car and drive. It's cheaper anyway for our family. We actually like road trips.

  • Gal51, I believe it. The last time I went through airport security with my kids was in 2008, and some of those agents were creepy enough to make me want to obsessively keep my hands on my kids at all times.

ysk, I read that article. Apparently, he was told to put his clothes back on "so he could be properly patted down". Um, clearly he's hiding nothing; even his undies were form-fitting. These "pat-downs" are not about security. They are about intimidation and compliance.
