Question for Pagans

Do you think that a certain deity may come into your life for a purpose months after you first encounter them? Like when they first become a presence in your life, you have no idea why, then months or even years later, a situation arises for which you could greatly use their help? Sorry if this doesn't make much sense, I'm about to head off to bed and I'm really tired.

  • Of course. Many times we are called or accompanied by the deity which either needs us or which we will need. That's why many Pagans will go through a number of Patron/Matron Gods in their life. As their life changes so do the deities which are more helpful in those lives.

  • Sure! I have certain spirits and saints which help me more at some times than others. Just as there are different friends and family members I approach about different issues I am having.

  • Definitely! Though the Patron/Matron deities for us are The Mother and The Father (sometimes referred to as The Lady and Lord as well as Rhiannon and Herne), we accept other deities, as well. Luna (also known as Selene in other cultures) and Lakshmi seem to be prevalent. As I make prosperity wishes, I think of Lakshmi often.

  • Yes. Some have arrived early and some have arrived just when needed and not a moment too late.
