I have noticed it and I find it rather annoying especially since there is a word limit on how much you can type in one response. So, if you have to continue in another response box and only one of your comments is voted up then your response gets separated. If someone, is looking for an answer to something and they come across your question(s), then the answers are all mixed up. I think they should stay in the same order as there were written. Just have the best answer at the top and it the original order.

Hi! Vicesix's answer (copied below) is correct -- this isn't anything new. I agree that for debate-type questions it's not great, but when someone's just asking for advice we think it can be helpful to sort the answers by votes.
Answer by vicesix: "It's been like that ever since they started doing the points. It's annoying maybe (a little), but all you have to do is click "oldest" tab and it will put them back in the order in which they were answered. This feature is a MUST in order to read the debates on closed questions from Religion or Politics section, lol."
