  • Allowance is generally used to help a child learn to budget money.

    If your child has misbehaved, punishing him/her by withholding "allowance" might not be the best way... Try finding a more appropriate sentence to fit the crime...

  • I agree with Goodbrook. I am not sure why you are taking allowance away but I think you should let the punishment fit the crime and unless they are not doing the chores required to earn the allowance, I would not take it away.
