Has anyone ever read the encyclopedia out there?

  • I did when I was about 12 or 13, my parents bought a set, and I read the whole thing. Fascinating.

  • You betcha. I never had the internet in school. The computer just came into use when I graduated. We used to have the entire encyclopedia set.

  • Like M-avi I am from the dinosaur age and there was no such thing as internet when I was in school. My parents had the full set as well and they were so proud of them, they "displayed" them very prominently in the entryway to our home. This was back in the good old days when the Britannica salesmen went door- to- door lol. I feel old.

  • my parents had the whole set too..and then they also had another set that was specifically for kids (kids version of them)...i used them alot during school, internet didnt exist yet..
