  • Make some pies for Thanksgiving, I don't like to bake because my oven hasn't worked right in years and I haven't fixed it!

  • Banana bread, cookies, brownies, cake pops, jump start on your pies for Thanksgiving, as long as you have somewhere to store them.

    I think I'm gonna look at making cakepops for my coworkers over my vacation.

  • Banana Bread, pumpkin bread oatmeal cookies.
    Banana Bread
    1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoons baking soda
    1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
    1 cup sugar
    1 large egg
    1 cup mashed banana (about 2-3)
    1 teaspoon vanilla or rum flavoring
    Optional-1/2 cup chopped nuts (I usually use pecans, but macadamia nuts are really good
    Optional-1 teaspoon cinnamon or nutmeg
    Optional- 1/3-1/2 cup chocolate chips
    Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour one loaf pan. In medium mixing bowl, mix together flour, salt, and baking soda. Add nuts. Set aside. In large microwave bowl, melt butter. Add sugar and beat, using electric mixer, till well blended. Add egg, mixing well. Add bananas and vanilla or rum flavoring, and mix well. Fold in flour mixture and nuts and other optional items, if using; blend just until flour is moist. Pour batter into the pan. Bake 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes o

  • My absoulte fav recipe is called Nilla Apple Crisp.......

    4 large Fugi apples (get them @wal-mart)
    1/2 Cup packed brown sugar (divided)
    2tsp ground cinnamon
    1/3 Cup quick cooking oats (oatmeal)
    1/4 Cup COLD margarine (stick butter)
    25 Nilla Wafers crushed (about a cup of crumbs)
    Cool Whip

    Heat oven to 350
    Toss apples with 1/4 cup bwn sugar, 1tsp cinnamon in a medium bowl. Spoon into a 8 or 9 inch square baking dish.

    Combine oats remaining sugar and cinnamon in that medium bowl, cut in margarine either with a pasrty blender or use 2 butter knives until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in wafer crumbs, sprinkle ontop the apples.

    Bake for 30 to 35 mintues or intil the apples are tender, serve with cool whip or cinnamon icecream, or what ever is good for you.

    You also sub with the splenda blend brown sugar or low fat coolwhip and nilla cookies.Type 2 diabetics cam eat this in
