what is a good eating schedule for my 6 month old.

She is in daycare from 6:30am to 3:30pm

  • Baby's feeding schedule for the first year, whether bootle- or breast fed, should be feed on demand.

  • we have started baby food. and basically feed when she is hungry but i feel she needs to be on some sort of schedule

  • I had my kids on a schedule from birth. Try to track her eating patterns for a few days and see when she's eating so you know where you're starting from, then try to base a flexible schedule on her routine. At 6 months, my kids were waking up around 7 and nursing then having cereal and fruit for breakfast, nursing around 10, lunch around 1 (bmilk and baby food), nursing after nap, supper around 6 (bmilk and baby food), then nursing before bedtime between 7:30-8.

  • Schedules aren't needed, really. Missanc's suggestion is a good one because it isn't really a schedule! It's observing and then anticipating.
