Do you get along with your adult daughter?

Sometimes I do, but she never helps around the house & it's still all about her. She REALLY makes me crazy!

  • How old is your daughter? If she's older than 18 and out of high school and still living at home, I'd be having a very serious adult conversation with her. She either pitches in to take care of the house, like any "housemate" would be expected to do, or she finds a place of her own. If she's still in school, then make chores a requirement, just like it was when she was younger. In order to get rides, phone, a bed, and food to eat, she needs to do her share.

  • Well my adult daughter is 18! So were still evolving as a couple. I would say we argue and push each other. I am always annoyed by her thousand questions that she already knows the answers to yet she is looking to be reassured. So I guess it is good. We get along pretty darn good I would say she is my best friend.

  • I Love & Adore my Adult DD's!! And my oldest gave up her entire year of freedom to take me to every single DR, & Chemo appointment and other appointments! She has been my Cheerleader & warrior standing up for me! I love her so! My other married DD is A great and Caring DD!! I'm very lucky & blessed.. They're my life & world!! They both moved out when it was right for therm! However when my youngest wanted to buy a home. It was too soon. They let my DD get a loan on a part time $8.00 per hour Job!! And she had a Preemie Child in the NICU. Its been really hard for them.. So its best if you can let them stay with you until they can get on their feet. My oldest DD lived at home during college. She bought her own braces, ut herself through college & is still paying it off. And went through a life threatening accident. She's very strong, determined and caring. When both moved out. I so missed them. You will too! Hang in there!
