What do you spend on Christmas for your kids?

Do you have a set amount? Is it the same amount each year or does it differ depending on finances? Do you keep track of each dollar? Do you spend the same on each child?

  • Roughly $250 per child. We have 5, and they range in age from 3 to 15, so it's hard to be "even" with the money, but I make it as fair as I can. I keep track of what I've bought on a spreadsheet. The amount has increased as the kids have become older, they wants less things but they are all expensive!

  • We spend as much as money allows. And no, we don't spend the same on all kids. My girls both have birthdays pretty close to Christmas, so they get less money for Christmas than my son, who's birthday is in July.

  • I spend the exact same amount for everyone, for birthdays too. Dh and ds both have a birthday in December too. I just have to save money in advance.
