does your thumb crack in the fall/winter...how do you stop it or get rid of it?

the last 3 winters my thumb has cracked. last year i used gold bond lotion and it was gone in 2 days and never came back. this year it is not working.

  • Yes.... and what I do is put a ton of vaseline on my hands at night and put some winter gloves over them... that way I don't wake up with an extra shiny face! LOL!

  • Try vaseline at night. I use a little and it soaks in well, but a friend uses quite a bit and wears cotton gloves to bed. GL

  • YES. they both crack. I try to keep my hands moist with lotion, but I wash them a lot as well. I just try to keep them soft and hope for the best. When they do crack, I apply petroleum jelly on them to east the pain. Ouch!

  • When mine crack, I use neosporin + pain relief. It soothes and helps it heal faster.

  • Rescue Cream or bare naked cream.
