my daughter has a speech problem and i dont like her speech therapist

my 5 yr old daughter goes to speech therapy once a week for 25 minutes. we started last year right before she turned 4. at that time, the therapist was very nice and i liked her alot. this year there's a new therapist. she's older than the last one which isnt a problem, however when she tries explaining things to me, she uses half sentences and doesnt finish her thoughts. the speech is through our public schools so there is only one other therapist for the district and her office is next to our lady. my daughter doesnt connect with her very well and im worried that its just hindering her more than helping. i thought about requesting a new therapist but i dont know if i can.
any suggestions?

  • I'm sure you can ask for another one. There are also clinics outside of school she could get services through. My son is in speech, too.
