How much are french fried onions?!

UGG just realized im missing a vegitable dish and stuff to eat with my cheese ball(crackers and stuff)..gotta make a trip to the store today YAY (NOT)....but i've only got 25 bucks to my name til friday! How much are french fried onions (average)...also what kind of green beans works well with this!?

  • last time i bought them they were 3.39 for the bigger can. i use canned green beans, my mom uses frozen, we all prefer mine.

  • they're not expensive at all..i'd guess less than $2 a can. i've only bought them a time or two, though.

  • I just bought a can of the Kroger brand french fried onions, and I believe they were 2.50. It was for a slightly larger can; I think the smaller ones were 1.99. So really, it depends on how much you need for your recipe. The store brand is almost always less expensive though. Good luck w/ your cheese ball :)

  • I use em a lot. The French's brand are about 4.50-ish. Don't skimp, the store brand doesn't have the same crunch and they tend to be a bit greasier.
    You can make them yourself, which I've done once or twice. They're excellent, but not worth the extra work (to me).

  • At my store he has them on sale for 5 for $4 for the small cans, he has them on sale alot like that and I always buy them--- I am stocked up I have like 20 cans but I used them lots for that chicken recipe of the tv and the green bean thing!
