Do you remember when phone #'s had letters in them? LOL!

I bet a lot of ladies here didn't even know that ever was!

  • BR549... I remember my Dad saying that number for some reason,lol...

    I also remember "party lines".. My Mom hated them because she said people were always listening in on conversations..

    We had a rotary phone when I was growing up, when we got touch tone at my Grandmas we thought it was so cool,lol...

  • I don't remember actually using them, but I remember my cousin telling me that my phone number started with DA for Davis3-####. It's still the same number 52 years later.

  • I remember only having to dial the last 4 digits of our phone number..on a wall rotary phone. Now we have to dial everything including the area code. LOL

  • We had a rotary phone when I was growing up and had a party line since we lived out in the sticks. There was this old woman who would ALWAYS be on the phone and if you happened to pick it up she would start yelling at you about it being a "private call". Geesh. I rememeber being little and wondering why that mean lady lived in the phone. LOL

  • My mom and her family grew up with party lines but I grew up with rotary phones and hated it because because my friends were getting the new push button phones
