Anyone doing Memo Tiles for Christmas?

I'm thinking of doing memo tiles for Christmas this year. Does anyone know what kind of ink or paint I can use on the tiles? If I use ink with a stamp do I just use black ink then color in the rest with sharpies?

  • Memo tiles are ceramic floor tiles that you decorate to be a dry-erase board, here's a link to some other cafemom's who are making these this year.

If you want to try these, and need some directions, let me know. I'll try to help you.

  • I would like to know how to do these. Where do you even find the tile?

  • Well, I figured it all out, lol. I bought the tile at a regular flooring outlet near my home. I bought 12x12 ceramic tile. I then bought some carbon paper, searched for some designs online. Printed the designs out, then traced them onto the tile using the carbon paper, then drew over the carbon image with sharpies. I let the sharpies dry for a few days, then put on a clear coat called Valspar, you can buy it in a spray can. If you want to see a couple of pix of my finished tiles, just send me a message!
