Drawing a Blank this year...

For the first time in almost 5 years, I am drawing a complete and utter blank on what to get my kids.

DD is almost 5 and DS is almost 2.

So far I have: DD - candyland and toy story 2 and 3 movies.
DS - nothing

DD and DS - activity table with chairs

Any ideas?? I want to limit toys.

  • For Christmas for our girls the tradition was (and remains):

PJs and a book for Christmas Eve (to take the edge off the excitement)

a stocking with 3-5 items in addition to the chocolate orange, the santa shaped chocolates and the handful of nuts in shell --always something small to do (kinder surprise, a small lego or mechano piece, a small jigsaw puzzle or a tiny game), sometimes fun socks or mittens or a small book

a present from mom and dad --usually something special like jewelery or a piece of equipment for a hobby or obsession

a present from santa --usually a toy or game

Total, all-in for the entire pile for each child = $110. Today, still --they're 21 and 19.
