  • Retirement. There are all sorts of scholorships and loan programs that children can get when they go to school. I cannot get any assistance when I retire since it looks that SSI will be non-existant.

  • Both
We are just trying to survive and have cut back on what we put in, but saving for the future is important.

  • Retirement, there are lots of scholarships for education, not so many for retirement.

  • Both. So much goes into savings and retirement. We both also contribute to 401k.

  • I am just trying to survive, I contribute to a 401k for my retirement and i have been buying savings bonds for my kids. I hope one day we will be in a better position to save for their future, but it is hard right now. Their future or a roof over their head right now are sometimes my choices.

  • I wish for both.

  • A little for both. The education is through Upromise, so we don't really add money - we earn pennies from the grocery bills. My retirement is through a 401k at work, pretax and direct deposit, so it works out well. I can't wait to retire!
