  • well, as it stands : My hubby works full time but we still get foodstamps and health insurance for our daughter. I don't work, but if I did we wouldn't make any extra money for several reasons. I would only be able to get a part time job. Any extra income would eliminate foodstamps, so I would need to make enough to cover that loss, plus child care, plus extra gas money. I'd be making *maybe* an extra $100 a month over those things, so it is just not worth it.

  • Hubby works and his income pays our bills and provides what we need. If I had to work to keep us off welfare I would.

  • Job. I would never accept welfare or any kind of PA without working. That's abusing the system.
