  • Okay...let's just assume that I haven't ever opened a math book but have looked a at least one recipe in my life...1/4 cup and 1/4 cup makes a half cup. He should take a measuring cup with him to school and prove it to the professor.

  • It's 1/2 cup. The professor must have drank 1/4 + 1/4 of Jack Daniels before class.

  • Yeah i know super easy math. Hubbys book is telling him this too so that's why he asked his professor. I said thats a typo in the book. I think he just doesnt want to hear that he is wrong.

  • 1/4 + 1/4 = 2/4 = 1/2 cup.

Dunno what his professor is thinking!! This is elementary math.

  • It's half a cup. All you need to do is look on a measuring cup to know that's true.

  • Shouldhave...I was thinking the same thing. I would take a set of measuring cups and some flour...we would settle the issue real quick.
