  • Practice. he will get more and more comfortable with his abilities. Some babies don't walk until they are close to 18 months old.

  • Thanks, I mean he is already walking. He just doesn't do it very often.

  • Encourage him, just as you may have done for anything else he was trying to accomplish.
Get a big rubber ball and let him walk while rolling it around.
Encourage him to walk in public places.
Don't carry him everywhere. Let him walk.
Get one of those walker/ride-on toys.

  • Relax and let him do it in his own time. He may still be afraid or uncomfortable walking, and prefers crawling. 11 mos is not that old, he'll be walking, then running over the place before you know it!

  • I take it this is your first child??? Don't push it! Let him do it at his own pace!! My Daughter walked at 9 months (WAY to early in my eyes) I always say that if my next one tries to walk at 9 months I'll push them down!!! Haha!! (not literally push them down) But Enjoy your baby just being a baby, they have the rest of their life to WALK!!! :)
