it feels like a baby is kicking inside of me but i'm not pregnant. what could it be?

  • Generally gas. My friend and I call them Phantom Kicks.

  • GAS! I could have sworn I was feeling baby kicks before, but I knew it was some horrendous gas!

  • Phantom kicks...that's cute! lol. I would say gas. If you are 100 % sure you are not pregnant. If you have any thought that you might be make sure you get a test done at the clinic. We don't want to hear about you ending up on that show I DIdn't Know I Was Pregnant!!

  • I call them phantom kicks too how weird. I felt this a lot after my first baby was born. Kinda made me miss being pregnant.

  • My doctor explained it as something that you've felt your entire life, but when you were pregnant you came to recognize it as baby moving :) And now its hard to go back to normal, since you spent 9 months anticipating and adoring each movement and kick.

  • phantom kicks...i used to get them all the time after my first son, but now never after my second daughter. and reading this question made me realize that :( sad, i loved being pregnant and kind of liked the phantom kicks. i wonder why i dont get them anymore...maybe it means i wont have any more than 2 kids

  • I get them and I KNOW I am not pregnant because I had a hysterectomy 5 yrs ago and DH had a vasectomy 4 mos later!! lol
