Obama has spent more time abroad in his first two years than any other president at a staggering cost of $181,757 per HOUR just to operate air force one.
the trip to India, Indonesia, South Korea and Japan was by no means cheap. While a total by-the-day figure may be impossible to come by, Brady estimated that the 48 hours of flight time logged on the trip would cost at least $8.7 million for Air Force One alone. The president's latest visit to Lisbon, Portugal, for a NATO conference
would add another $2.7 million, he figured.

Some of them are.
I don't have such an issue with the cost of travel if we are actually accomplishing something. What has he accomplished abroad to mitigate the cost of travel?

I personally, would not use fox news as a reliable resource of monetary spending information. As they have already been proved wrong. We complain about bush because he and his administration either looked the other way or passively tolerated the big banks running a poor gamble on our housing market to further their gain and greed, while he and his administration had been repeatedly warned that this would happen. a recession of this magnitude does not happen in two years time, and now people want to count every penny the president spends ? seriously ? Like that is going to solve our financial woes ?

I rather be living under a rock than living with my head up the arse of that propaganda machine we all know as fox "News" Yes, the bush administration saw it coming, but in my opinion they did not do nearly enough to stop it. As i said " looked the other way " They had the power and resources to put more effort into the needed investigations and reform. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/20/business/worldbusiness/20iht-prexy.4.16321064.html?_r=1
It is more than a little embarrassing to have to point out that the source for these sadly misleading numbers came from a " Journalist" in India. All it takes is a little research to find out were the numbers came from ( And i mean a little). Lets not forget George bush spent thirty three percent of his presidency on personal vacation ( on our dime) maybe if he spent that time Working a little harder our country would not be in the dismal condition it is in.
