  • Yes, it will be. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't do it. Making my kids do their chores is also a pain in the a%%, but I still need to make them do it for their own good and for the good of the household.

And, yes, this shirking of necessary duties because they are unpleasant is one of the things that is wrong with our government right now.

(What does it mean that I actually agreed with something that Barney Frank said? I'm worried, ladies.)

  • Of course it will be a pain in the ass! It is so when anyone has to cut their budget and live on less. Of course what will be more painful for the government is choosing between cutting funding that benefits the people vs cutting funding that loosens their powerful grip over our lives.

  • Well there's a large group of us who happen to think Barney is a pain in the ass. It's about time he got a taste of his own medicine.

  • Barney is the pain in the ass. How did this man and his mis-running Fannie and Freddie ever get re-elected even in his gerimandered district. Do his constituents have the ability to think for themselves at all?

I think you differ on WHY it will be a pain in the ass.

  • Of course it will be. We do not do things because they are easy, we do them BECAUSE they are hard.

Nothing worth having or doing was ever easy.
