HOw much fluids a day should a 3 year old have?

I find it hard to keep track of how much my dd is drinking. Sure in the summer she takes in more, but how much should a child that age have?

  • i don't know that there is a limit really, we have always gone on 1oz per pound rule... so if she's 30 pounds she gets 30 oz... now that includes juice, water, milk, anything that she drinks. (and we NEVEr have an issue hitting 30... she's always well over!)

  • I've wondered the same thing! My ds would drink all day long if I let him! Luckily he loves water so I don't worry too much about it. I figure as long as it's not alot of sugery drinks it's ok.

  • I just make sure my son always has water or juice available so he can drink whenever he is thirsty.
