  • I agree that a picture of the grandkids or family. I also think you have to think about what she likes. My MIL loves to cook so I got her a subscription to a cooking mag, some spices and muffin tins. I know it is something she will love and enjoy!

  • My mother in law would be thrilled if I gave her all rights to my household and treated her like a queen - or if I were just out of the picture all together. In any case she's probably getting some kind of bath set or something from us.
