  • it does not matter if it's wine before beer, none fo that matters. What matters is how much alcohol you consume. If you keep it at one drink per hour, you will not get totally drunk.

  • Drinking too much too fast is what gets you drunk. Beer has less alcohol than a strong mixed drink so it will take more of them to get you drunk. For me, long island ice teas are the thing that kick's my butt.  I love them, but I have learned that four is just past my limit.  LOL

If you are avoiding getting sick, follow cassie_kellison's suggestion.

  • The only way not to get drunk is to wait an hour after you finish a drink to have another. It take an hour for your liver to completely process one drink. Once you start backing up the process...that's what causes the drunk effect.

  • 4 Long Island Iced teas??? OMG I'd be bruied already! As I get older it gets worse for me to drink. I noticed dark wine is really bad. Beer not so much. Mixed drinks are ok if iced down but ther is no way I can drink as much as I did ten years ago..

  • The ONLY was to not get drunk, is to NOT drink alcohol. Alcohol is slow to metabolize in the body. You lose about 1/2 ounce an HOUR after you stop drinking...even with drinking water or soda in between. The average women is legally drunk after no more than 3-4 drinks. Doesn't matter if it's beer, wine or other alcohol.
