  • Eating healthy ...fresh veggies and smoothies. I believe if you look online there is a progam called Diet Analysis that you can plug in your age and weight and it will let you know how many calories you need. Once its set up, you record what you eat throughout the day along with portion sizes. It will then calculate and analyze your existing diets for appropriate levels of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates as well as for vitamin and minerals.

    I took a Nutrition course and loved it. I have an old version of Diet Analysis and loved it. I hope you find one of these helpful.

  • Motivation is the key to weight loss. There are many ways to stay motivated such as listening to music, going for a brisk walk or meeting friends for a drink. Working out with a friend gives a great motivation boost too.

  • Charting my daily diet and exercise helped keep me motivated when I needed to lose weight. I created a monthly spreadsheet calender in Excell where I could document what I had for breakfast/lunch/dinner/snacks, plus what exercise I did each day. I would also record my weight once a week. I've never been one to count calories, but having a visual of what I was eating helped me stay on track and realize how my eating habits could be better. I lost a pound a week. =)
