DHS seizing domain names.

The investigative arm of the Homeland Security Department appears to be shutting down websites that facilitate copyright infringement.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has seized dozens of domain names over the past few days, according to TorrentFreak.

I feel much safer now, how about you?

    No, it's not. Neither are facebook, youtube, myspace, even Google. Reason being, they are seizing these sites on SUSPICION of activity, not on proof of activity. If enough pissed off people called DHS and said CM had a secret section only some people know about, and use it to pirate movies, DHS would be completely within their rights (until/unless this gets challenged and overturned) to seize the entirety of ""

  • Idiots. Why aren't they out there seizing the pirates that carry guns and take ships/hostages?

    Don't get me wrong ~ I think people should pay for their movies or games, etc. I wonder if someone dumped classified info/data on one of the sites (which might at least justify this)???
