How to break a ten month old from putting fingers down throat?

I am having a hard time with this i have tried putting mittens on her. I have no idea what to do she is making her self throw up. I dont want it to continue. Please any suggestions will help.

  • She'll break that habit herself. She's learning, exploring her mouth and her reflexes, finding out how things work. She'll decide she doesn't like the result and she'll stop - and start exploring something else.

  • My daughter would gag herself when she was little. She never threw up, but she came close. When I asked the ped. about it, he said she's just doing it b/c she likes it. ??? Why would anyone LIKE doing that? Anyways, eventually, she stopped doing it on her own.
