Board games. They can count spaces and money depending on which games you go for. They're also colorful, and many of them have different colored pieces which will help them recognize which color is which.
Candyland is a favorite of my daughter, and she also loves chutes and ladders. Trouble, possibly Sorry. Scrabble might be good for your older boy here in a couple of years when he starts reading/writing (if you haven't been working with him on that already, in which case, go for it now).
