  • I remember when I turned 30. I layed on the couch with a blanket over my head. Most feared birthday of my life. I have lots more since then. It gets a whole lot easier. They do not even matter anymore.

  • I didn't have any issues with turning 30, but it's very normal that you do. It'll pass and you'll be fine.

  • When I turned 30 I had a 2 month old and all I could do was compare how old I'd be when he was 5, 15, etc. I felt like I was too old to be starting out as a parent. I realized I was not. Eventually I got over the negativity and can now enjoy my birthdays.

  • its better then the alternative...celebrate every single birthday. do not hide from any birthday. be happy you are alive. i loved turning 30 and 31 and 32 and 33 and 34. every birthday is great! its better then no birthdays!

  • 30 ? You are a child. I hardly thought about turning 30.
Just wait until you turn 50.
I can't believe that you could feel anything about turning 30 !!!
No, I can't identify with what you are feeling at all !!!

  • I always was taken aback when I turned 29, 29, 49. 30, 40, 50 didn't bother me. At the 9's I always felt I needed to take stock of where I was and where I had been, and where I was going. Maybe that's what you need to do. Write it out if that makes it easier for you. Your feelings are your feeling, don't let anybody put you down for expressing your thoughts.

  • When I turned 30 I was pregnant. It was just another day. In 3 days, I will be 34 and in 4 days, SO will be 40.

  • My age number doens't bother me, but my younger brother's does. LOL. When he turned 40, I figured I had been the older sibling for 40 years, we should do something to make him act like the older I started counting backwards as he goes forwards. This year (2010) he turned 48 and I turned 36, lmao....I'm really 52, with my b'day coming up in January. Life is really what YOU make it.
