Should I ask her to pay?

My husband has an aunt who makes snotty comments about people behind their backs. She made a nasty comment about me and the person she said it to told me. I called her on it. Then, later when my car broke down, she offered me her old car (1994 Taurus) that was still running. She transferred the title to my husband's name and said she wanted it back if we could get my car fixed. I know she only did this because she felt guilty about getting busted talking behind my back.

My daughter's school band had a fundraiser last month and she ordered a fairly expensive item. My daughter and I both mentioned the date by which we had to turn in the money. She still has not paid and I turned in the money a week ago. Should I just let it go and give her the item she ordered or ask her to pay?

  • the car and the fundraiser are separate issues. she ordered it therefore she needs to fork over the money or you can cancel the item.

  • She ordered the item, she needs to pay for it. This is completely separate from any other issue you have with her.

  • Ask her to pay for the item. The car has nothing to do with a fundraiser.

  • I agree. She needs to pay for the item. If it gets to the point where you will deliver the item, remind her then before giving it to her.
