Do you use any natural seeds, pods, branches from your yard or nearby woods for Christmas decorating?

We do and spray some of them white and gold.

  • I make potpourri out of pine cones, evergreen springs, day lily seed pods, cone flower heads, rose hips and dried hydrangea heads. I add a few drops of liquid scented oil, and place in a bowl as a centerpiece.

  • We have some pine cones for the tree. I also have silk fall flowers and leaves that I put on the tree. We decided to do it year before last, because if you were to go outside and look at the trees, they still have fall colors in them. Makes the tree really pretty and full.

  • I don't really decorate as much as I would like. But my pre-k kids, we used to go and find a bunch of pine cones, roll them around in glue, and red, silver and green glitter and make them Christmas ornaments. They were really cute and the parents and the kids loved them!
