Does anyone every go to cookie exchanges?

Last year I went to the coolest cookie exchange: 14 ladies were invited, you brought 6 cookies, for the 14 ladies, that were in a decorated container and then you brought 6 cookies to share. We all voted for the best decorated container and best tasting cookie. The cookies were awesome, not the run of the mill, and the decorating was right out of Martha Stewart. So much fun and the winner got a gorgeous silver platter and I went home with the most awesome cookies. This was so well done and really put you in the spirit.

  • As I have a love of baking, i go to them when I have the time. It's tons of fun and you get some awesome recipes (most of the ones I've been to require that you bring the recipe of the cookies you made on a little card- one card for every participant.

  • I felt the same way, I only took my best recipe but many brought less than desirable cookies but this was top knock, she only picked ladies that were good bakers so she knew the caliber of the cookies. Would love to be able to pull one off like she did. It left a lasting impression on me. Tons of fun and went home with the best cookies and have made many of them and shared with friends.
