Does anyone know how to cook turtle?(Yes I'm serious)

I see it at our local butcher shop, and I'll try anything once. If you have had it how was it prepared? I've had alligator and rattlesnake. Is it similar?

  • Hmm, that doesn't sound bad. It just looks like dark meat chicken pieces at the shop, so I could definitly see it in a soup! I'll check google too!

  • yep, turtle soup...to me its across between oyster and chicken...i would say boil it and make some soup and if you like it then you can cook it any way you would chicken...if its just ok then you could bread it and fry it to make it taste better
