  • Locate Toy and Joy maker, fire dept or local churches and let them know you're struggling, I guarantee you one of these places will help fill your wish list :)

  • What Kathy675 said. It is tough being broke this time of year. I wish you all the best.

  • look on craigslist under free. There may not be a lot of children's things on there but you never know what you will find. Or go on craigslist and post about your situation. I am sure there are plenty of people out there who are willing to get rid of some of their things for a cause or to even give new things they bought. Worth a try.

  • Your local Marine Corps League will hand out the USMC Toys for Tots toys. Just look in the phone book or call the local recruiting office.

  • Toys for Tots always seems like a great idea for those in need!! if youd rather do it yourself.. just hunt out the deals! check outlet malls, clearance racks.. lots of people have summer things on sale...t shirts are always coming in handy for anytime though! Check for coupons for things like body wash and stuff.. sometimes you can get that stuff next to nothing w/ doubled coupons!

  • Buy a lot of small things like socks, nail polish, inexpensive toys. You would be surprised at what you can find at the Thrift Stores for next to nothing. Sign up for free stuff on Cafe Mom. You can get samples of shampoo, body wash, toothpaste. Good luck!

  • look on ebay for stuff- thrift stores are great if you have time to search!
we were broke last year and it all worked out, you just have to get creative
make sure you decorate the house and all that to keep spirits up :)

  • Look for freecycle groups on yahoo. The idea is that when people have things they don't want they offer them - it's all free. If you have something you need, just ask for it. Shop at thrift stores or second hand stores, the Salvation Army often has thrift stores and may help you out if you really can't buy anything. It may be too late to get your kids on an angel tree, but you can try and do call the fire department and police station asking if they have programs. Good luck!
