Do you think babies can start eating solid food @ the age of 5 months as long as you chop it up real fine?

I started feeding my baby real food @ the age of 5 months! i always put it in the blender 2 grind it up real good almost 2 the consistency of baby food! Now he dont want 2 go 2 his baby food when i dont have any real food 2 give him thats not cooked!

  • We started our kids at 7 months and we just had to make sure to always have things prepared

  • Yeah that's fine. My baby started eating food from my plate at 5 or 6 months. She started eating baby food at 4.5 months, then I started making some (from peaches, sweet potatoes, etc.).

  • i boil down sweet potatoes and carrots and peas...then grind them up in a blender or long as the chunks are small enough that baby doesnt choke then they should be this age, tho, your baby should still be getting their bulk of nutrition from formula or offer bottle first, and then after bottle give them some veggies or daughter likes water, too and we are planning on skipping the sippy cup stage, so she gets a couple itps of water from a cup in between, just be careful to not pour too much water down her throat! lol first foods is a fun time! enjoy and take lots of pictures!! : )
