I'm thinking this should be reported but to whom do I report it

At a nursing home where a friend works a needle was found on a dietary tray.
apparently it was left there by a nurse by accident and the person handling the tray did not notice it either until the tray ended up in the dish room

  • Report it to the Department of Health and the director of the nursing home. (Your friend should do it).

  • OMG..........
Did it ever occur to anyone that the nurse that did it should be told?

It does happen. Someone should tell HER and tell her she's lucky that nobody got stuck!

Calling the 800 number might get you and everyone there a visit from the state, and loss of your employment, should the state shut the facility down!
Good God, think ladies, just think.

  • You need to report it to the head nurse that is in charge

  • Why isn't your friend reporting it? She should report it to the director of the home. The head nurse may just cover for whoever did it.

  • There should be an 800 number posted in the front of nursing home for things like this.
