Would Christians vote for Jesus?

Jesus was quite obviously a liberal. Do you think Conservative Christians would have voted for him, had he been running. I believe, ironically, no.

  • Based on the comments I've seen today on cafemom coming from "conservative moral Christians". No way in hell!

  • I think some would.. those who are like me.. I am a conservative Christian but I'm a non-conformist.. which means I follow the bible.. however when it comes to religion (which Jesus had an issue with - hinse the reason the saducees and phairsees hated him) and the rules men added in (i.e. u cant wear pants, u cant wear make-up, etc.) i do not conform. I am pierced and tattooed so many would look at me and think I'm not a Christian. Jesus was here for those who needed Him.. the sinners.. these were the ppl He sat and ate with. So yeah.. I would definitely vote for Jesus.

  • No, I honestly don't believe they would have. Jesus prayed for and tolerated ALL people, even if he didn't agree with what they chose to do with their lives. He never would condemn someone or send them to hell because they believed differently. I'm a liberal christian and as one I believe in trying to see the wisdom behind Jesus's actions. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

I'm not saying that NONE of the conservative christian women wouldn't have voted for Jesus...but I can guarantee you that there are plenty who wouldn't like him if he was alive and well today.

  • um.. Jesus was NOT a liberal. he did not come here to CHANGE anything. he came fulfill scripture. NOT ONCE did he contradict scripture. he only add to it! NEVER did HE change anything or say it was wrong. so YES! as a conservative Christian i would vote for Jesus!

  • Jesus was very liberal. Read your Bible anon 3:14, it's very clear. He was not at all rude or boastful, like many of his followers today. It's sad really. A lot of us Christian are nothing like our Christ, yet we claim that's what we're supposed to strive for. Such a contradiction.

  • I thought too, as Christians, we weren't supposed to hide. Isn't that what responding under anonymous is actually doing? Are you ashamed of your views?
