Anon question (I think I asked this a year or more ago. Looking for fresh insight)

why why WHY are some questions asked anon?

"How do I get a library card?"

"What is a good pasta recipe?"

"What is the last movie you rented"?

Why do some very random and generic things require your privacy? who ARE you people??

  • I haven't really thought about it until now but my answer would be that it doesn't affect me how someone asks a question so I could not care less if they ask something harmless anon.

  • i think some people are very paranoid about revealing their identity over the internet (the ones like this anyway that are just asking innocent questions)

  • I have accidentally hit the anon box when I try to post because my laptop is screwy. Maybe it's not anon on purpose.

  • They're not crazy. Some just like their privacy. It's not such a bad thing to want to keep yourself private over the internet.

  • I answer and ask everything anon. I'm a weinie! I figure this way people can hate the unknown person if they feel a general question is stupid.

  • I swear on a stack of yo gabba gabba dvd's I've never asked a single Q anon but I would if it was something like "I keep passing out from my vaginal drippings odor, how do I drive myself safely to the ob-gyn to have it examined?" ... I thought it was the life destroying humiliation things that anon button was invented for. ..... The government will not track you if you cannot think of a creative use for those chicken breasts thawing on the counter and u need some advice on.
