  • They make a tidy sum and what they do is sell pharmaceuticals to doctors to push on their patients.

  • Exactly. They push medicine (very unnecessarily) onto doctors, schmoozing them with lunches and dinners and swag, so the doctors will give their patients more medications they likely don't need. Anyone with a bachelor's degree can do it, and they can make six figures. My step mom has been doing it for about 10 years. There's a lot of travel within your region, but they usually give you a company car.

    All the pharma/med/med equipment reps I know, make 6 figures a year.
