Why do so many people feel the need to ask completely benign questions anonymously?

  • I'll ask a "benign" question anon because I have stalkers on this site and others....on other sites I have everything private, but I can't keep my "answers" or "questions" private on here. If I wanted certain people to know where I am and what I'm doing, I'd call them and let them know.

  • Because no matter what you ask, there's always someone waiting for their moment to pounce on your question and bash the crap out of you.

"Does anyone here use X brand trash bags?"

"OMG ur so stupid. They r called GARBAGE BAGS!"

  • Because to them maybe it isn't benign. Or they are just private people.

  • Because the anon button is there and it's an option, and it's their choice to do so. I don't understand why it's so imperative that everyone knows who everyone is. I'm sure you don't know who I am with my music notes on my avatar. LOL

  • Who cares? Your question has been asked so many times already, although I must say your readers gave some good answers.

  • The Question should be why do ppl judge & respond so harshly to a person who is asking a question it could be that they don't won't to be judge or that they are simply confused in the choices & decisions they have to make so they seek the advice of other women.m other mothers hoping that they can receive some type of wisdom or answer that maybe they themselves never thought of but instead of receiving support they are bashed hard as hell SMH its a shame truely

  • Because some people just need something to complain about so they complain about the most useless thing and things they cant change

  • Who cares? Well, obviously, me. Now I'll be forever haunted by the mysterious poster who asked "What is everyone's favorite holiday tradition?"

I just feel like it's a very strange and seemingly unecessary practice - one that someone out there may have some insight into. Insight that they would share anonymously, of course.

Also, if this question has been asked in the last week, since I've been visiting the Answers section, I certainly haven't seen it.
