7 month old throwing fits?

My baby girl has started throwing 45 minute fits before bedtime the only way to stop them is by keeping her up until she put her head down and finally wants to go to bed. She just woke up in the middle of the night I gave her a bottle and she is doing it again. Any suggestions on how to get her to bed without this fight?

  • Colic ends after the first 3 months; it doesn't begin at 7. It is probably teething. Orajel and a dose of Infant Advil may help if you give it before bedtime. It is also the age. At 7 months, they are becoming very aware of the world around them and hate to miss anything. Just keep the same routine going... ease her down by preparing her for bed. Dim the lights, play soft music, anything to cue sleep.

  • Could be she is teething? Has a slightly elevated temp? Maybe try some baby Ora gel on her gums. Get her a teething ring and freeze it.

Maybe she is colicky? Maybe she is gassy, or something not sitting well with her stomach? If she does this during the day, perhaps get her seen at her pediatrician. Could be colic... not saying it is.........but my first thought is teething.
