Pagan Children's Movies...

When I was a kid we had the "Golden Book" series which was meant to teach Bible Stories to kids. I loved them, and my kids like them now. I've also seen similar kid videos for other faiths, so I wonder if there is anything like this for Pagan kids - maybe Greek, Roman or Norse myths instead of Christian ones?

Know of any?

  • How to Train Your Dragon?

NO! Ok, it's a cute movie - low on factual accuracy, but cute. Beowolf is a little closer, but highly altered by outside interference all the same. There's actually quite a bit of accurate lore worked into the Hobbit and LotR series, although Tolkien was an admitted Christian, he still studied the history and sagas quite a bit to base his work on.

  • I love MoonDragon, I reference that site all the time for my blogs...

Yeah, I was thinking more along the lines of LOR. I have the originals and the newer ones, the kids like the originals better yet as they are animated. I was really hoping to find something more myth based though... I want to be able to introduce them to different religions as if they were simply a part of every day life. I don't ever want them to feel someone is different because they have these beliefs or those beliefs. I like when the kids shows do Jewish episodes (usually around the holidays) but I don't ever see Pagan or other ones... And I would love to have something else to expose them to.
