How can you tell your children are sleepy?

My oldest daughter gets very silly like I do when I'm sleepy.

  • Mine either turns into a gremlin, or sits still. I always know something is up if he is still for more than 5 secs.

  • There eye lids get all red and puffy from rubbing them, yawning and CRANKY.

  • Mine will lay his head on me (or DH), or his eyes will flutter or he'll yawn. He'll also get really cranky.

  • DD either getsreally snuggly with me or fights anything I try to do. She also rubs at her eyes (SO ADORABLE)

  • My youngest one's ears get all red - just like her Daddy! My middle one says "I'm NOT tired!" and lays down and goes to sleep! My oldest says "mom, can I go to bed?" I always laugh because what am I going to say? No? I don't think so! lol
