what does it or could it mean when a guy says, "hey, I don't bite..."?

he asked me out and has said this a few times in messages at the end. what gives?

  • He is trying to say he is a nice guy and you shouldn't worry about going out with him. Whether that is true or not, he is claiming it.

  • It is "normally" said in a joking fashion, meaning he isn't out to hurt you. Like the pp said, it may or may not be true, lol, but he is just saying he won't hurt you.
