I'm probably going to feel like an idiot!!

I'm just wondering..I'm new to this site and everyone uses abbreviations like DD and DS ect.... what do they stand for??

  • I think they are stupid (most of them anyway). I use SO (significant other) only, because I do have and call him such. I would never call my son "darling son"(It's not something I would say in person so I would not use it in this forum either). It's so sickeningly sweet makes me want to gag every time I read just because I know what it means. I am a REAL person though, I choose to be and type as if I were speaking to your face unlike most others.

  • I thought it was "dear son" and "dear daughter" or husband, not darling. But the reason I do it is because you only have so much space and it's easier to abbreviate.

  • Yup..I feel pretty dumb I couldn't figure that out. lol! I figured out LO on my own, but those were stumping me!!
