Would you buy a children's book for your child about a kid with gay parents?

Just curious

  • I like that the person who said no felt the need to be anon. That says something... Perhaps being closed minded is something to be ashamed of

Could be they knew others would be intolerant of their view point like you are.

  • no, religious reasons and the fact that I dont think that it is a good influence! If you are gay that is okay, but I dont want my kids reading about it, for religious reasons!

  • If he had questions, sure, but we have plenty of gay friends that it's just a normal part of life for us, and if he wants to know why Mike and Larry are together, or Steven and Chris, we're happy to fill him in. Undoubtedly, he'll have friends with gay parents at some point, so I'm sure questions will arise. But DH and I are huge supporters of the gay community, so it's just something that's already part of us. Plus, I am bisexual, which I will explain to DS when he's older (he's only 2 now).
